I remember not knowing shiat about Jon & Kate, and TLC was just a blah channel, that i will never really turn on unless i was really bored. But now the show has pretty much everyone talking about TLC. Panasonic faces $4.2 billion loss, and cuts 15000 jobs!!!

Panasonic said it will slash 15,000 jobs and shut down 27 plants worldwide, joining a slew of major Japanese companies announcing deep cuts as the global slowdown batters the world's second-largest economy.
The world's largest maker of plasma display TVs also announced a net loss for the October-December quarter and lowered its forecast for the fiscal year through March to a net loss of 380 billion yen (£3 billion), its first annual loss in six years.
Panasonic blamed the dismal results on the global slowdown set off by the US financial crisis, the rapid surge of the yen and sudden price drops. Sales slid in a wide range of products, including flat-panel TVs, DVD recorders, microwaves, lamps and semiconductors, it said.

Sweden-based airline SAS is to cut 8,600 jobs as part of its "Core SAS" restructuring plan.
The airline is to lose 3,000 staff directly and outsource 5,600 more, reducing the workforce by 40% to 14,000, following losses of 6.32 billion krona in 2008. The company is also to sell airBaltic and Spanair and its stakes in Air Greenland, BMI, Estonian Air, Skyways Express, Spirit Airlines and Trust. Spanair is to be sold for €1. The company intends to switch to concentrating on its core Nordic market.
SAS is to seek 6 billion krona from shareholders, while the government of Denmark is to invest 600 kroner in the company. Currently, Denmark owns 14.3% of SAS, Sweden has 21.4% and Norway 14.3%. The rest is publicly traded.
The airline was founded in 1946 when the state airlines of Denmark, Sweden and Norway merged their longhaul services

Ford Motor reported that its ongoing losses soared in the fourth quarter, but the company reiterated it still does not need the federal bailout already received by its two U.S. rivals.
Ford reported a net loss of $5.9 billion, or $2.46 a share, up from a loss of $2.8 billion in the same quarter a year ago. For the full year, Ford lost $14.6 billion, and the company has now lost nearly $30 billion over the past three years. Whatever happened to the U.S. economy, when did all this began??? I mean seriously this is getting worst and worst..... and it's gonna get bad before we see some changes.......
